"For a Moment" is a song from The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea performed by both Ariel and Melody. Melody's part of the song is her rejoicing at the fact that she is mermaid and how she finally feels she belongs. Ariel's part of the song is her remorse for the mistakes she made of keeping Melody from the sea and not telling her the truth, she also mentions her worries about Melody missing. The song is a duet by Jodi Benson and Tara Charendoff and is written by Michael Silversher and Patty Silversher.
